  1. Warm-up: answers will vary.
  2. Vocabulary: spacecraft = a vehicle used for travel in space; lunar module = a small spacecraft used to land on the Moon; orbit = the curved path of an object around a planet or moon; surface = the outside or top layer; achievement = something difficult successfully completed.
  3. Reading comprehension: 1) 20 July 1969. 2) Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. 3) He remained in orbit above the Moon. 4) Any two: collected rock samples, took photographs, placed scientific equipment. 5) Accept supported answers such as it was the first human Moon landing and showed major technological achievement.
