Look at the title. What do you know about independent transfer and reflection? Tell a partner one idea.

During a busy school day, Noah checks his timetable, finds the correct classroom and greets his teacher. In science, he reads a task with three steps and asks for clarification before beginning. At morning tea he talks with classmates about a group project. In mathematics, he explains how he solved a word problem and checks the units in his answer. Before going home, he records tomorrow’s homework and the due date. Noah has not learned every word he will hear at school, but he now has strategies to participate, ask for help and organise his learning.
