Who is this reading pack for?
This free A0 reading pack is designed for complete beginners and Pre-A1 learners who need short, manageable English texts. The five topics use familiar everyday vocabulary and simple sentence patterns, so students can practise reading for meaning without being overwhelmed by long passages.
Teachers can use the worksheets for classroom reading, small-group support, homework, catch-up work, or one-to-one tuition. Each passage can also be read aloud first to support learners who are still building confidence with English spelling and pronunciation.

Use it in a short lesson
- Look at the picture and name a few familiar words.
- Read the passage together, then let the learner read it again.
- Answer the three questions in writing or aloud. Use the final page to check answers.
